"I Want To Believe" is a 3 hands exhibition : Pierre-Charles Jacquemin (installations), Quentin Aubé (photography and drawings), and Grand Ciel (music).

The idea is to retranscribe a sudden alien invasion and barely believable. I first composed the "I Want To Believe" track and then felt the need to create something very instinctive, with some urgency. So I asked Pierre-Charles to come join me for a day at the studio. In fact, I already had my little idea in mind: record all our improvisations in one go. A posteriori, I worked the texture and the grain of the sound, in the manner of sci-fi movies of the 50/60s with transistors and tapes saturations. On the other hand, I gave it a modern feel by working with a large stereophonic space.

In conclusion, I settle this sound work in the manner of the visual universe of Pierre-Charles Jacquemin and Quentin Aubé, on the border between retro-futurism and science-fiction.
